Term 1 Week 5

TAS News
It was a quiet weekend for the TAS teams last Saturday, with only the Year 7 Navy Basketball and Senior 3rd XI Cricket teams in action. The basketballers demonstrated not only their skills but also their great sportsmanship towards the opposition. Although they won by a large margin, they showed respect to the opposition, helping them learn and develop. The Senior 3rd XI played their first game of the season. They played some good parts of the game and will only improve from having finally played.

After the main draw bye round last weekend, Canterbury travel to play St Columban’s College in Round 5. We are now at the half way mark of the rounds, with a large number of teams sitting in high ladder positions.

Good luck to all our teams this week. Fixture details can be found on the College App or below.

Mouthguards Compulsory for Rugby Union, Hockey and AFL
To comply with Risk Management policies, it is mandated that mouthguards are compulsory for students wishing to participate in a school sport for Rugby Union, Hockey and AFL.

It is strongly recommended that students wear custom-fitted mouthguards.  Parents and Carers are requested to refer to the Australian Dental Association website below in order to make an informed choice about the different types of available mouthguards.

If a student is unable to wear a mouthguard for medical reasons, then a signed medical clearance certificate is required prior to participating.
